Monday Drool – A Double Dose of Bull – Centenario

If you thought Friday’s drool car was unique, we have a real treat for you today. Someone has decided to sell their practically brand new black-on-red Lamborghini Centenario. With a paint job that seems to be paying homage to the Chicago Bulls NBA team, we have a two-bull situation going on here. Perhaps this was Michael Jordan’s own car… you never know. So, what makes this 1-of-40 Centenario so special?

For starts, there is the rear-mounted, naturally-aspirated 6.5-litre V12 which develops 760 bhp and 507 lb-ft of torque, giving the Centenario a 0 – 62 time of 2.8 seconds. And while the power and acceleration are all well and great, the aerodynamics are where the designers really let loose. Up front is a gigantic twin-deck splitter that gives some intimidating teeth to match the glaring eyes of the headlights. Move to the back and you are greeted with a humongous diffuser and extendable rear wing. Even with all of the downforce generated by these features, the Centenario can reach a staggering 217 mph top speed. A rear-wheel steering system gives the car a shorter turning radius at low speeds and increased stability at high speeds. Inside the Centenario is a new portrait-oriented touchscreen that controls all infotainment functions. Of course, it also records your driving data for review after you are through putting the car through its paces on the track.

This one is currently listed for sale at McLaren Scottsdale in Arizona, USA. And while their description of the car might be lacking, the pictures really are worth a thousand words here. With under 50 miles under its belt, this car hasn’t even begun to be broken in yet. Whether it’s a Chicago Bulls tribute or not, the red-and-black colour scheme looks absolutely menacing. At $3.4 million (about £2.5 million), this is not a deal for the faint of heart. But for those extremely wealthy extroverts out there, this is an incredible opportunity to put a very rare machine in your garage.
