The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta was launched by Ferrari in 2012 which took strides forward from the still impressive 599 GTB it replaced. The auto world approved with just how far Ferrari had progressed with the front engined V12 model within the family. However fans and owners knew that the model launched did not deliver the full capabilities of the F12 Berlinetta, and just like its predecessor had the GTO version, a similar version would eventually be launched for the F12.

It was not until 4 years later that the F12tdf was launched and everyone agreed that the “bonkers” version did not disappoint. To start with the exterior was drastically enhanced in a way which was modern, with design cues back to the 1966 275 GTB4. Everyone agreed that it was a super hit. In comparison, updates to the 599 GTO were subtler, so the drastic change caught everyone with a pleasant surprise.

But as always with Ferrari, the engine improvement was significant for the F12tdf over the F12 Berlinetta. Power was up from 740 CV to 780 CV, which took 0.2 seconds off the 0-62 time reducing it down to less than 3 seconds. Even more impressive is that a full 2 seconds less is needed to lap Fiorano. Official top speed was more too, although Ferrari refused to say by how much.

The F12tdf is a rare car with only 799 made. This example is probably the only one finished in Rosso Dino and with a Canna Di Fucile stripe. With just 398 miles from new, and numerous optional features, I’m sure you would agree this car is worthy of a Monday Drool.

The car is coming to market through RM Sotheby’s on 6th December. Here is what they had to say about it:

This F12tdf’s first owner took advantage of Ferrari’s factory atelier in Maranello and created a unique and stunning example with almost every available option selected. The Ferrari is finished in the historic and seldom seen color of Rosso Dino, a bright red that almost appears orange in a certain light, with the “GTO” livery in Canna Di Fucile. The interior is fully trimmed in Nero Alcantara with Rosso highlights and detailing with a Giallo rev counter.

Showcasing the car’s high-performance nature, numerous carbon fiber options were selected, including dashboard inserts, rear shelf, fog lamps, headlight buckets, door stills, and carbon fiber racing seats. Other options include 20-in. forged dark-painted wheels, suspension lifter, front and rear parking cameras, passenger display, and high-power hi-fi audio system.

Delivered new to Ferrari of Long Island, the F12tdf has remained in virtually new condition throughout, having only been driven less than 400 miles. Additionally, the car’s factory warranty remains in place until July 2019 and it is covered under the Ferrari Genuine Maintenance program until July 2023. With that program, the car’s new owner is given peace of mind should they wish to take it to the open road.
