Ferrari, always the leaders when it comes to exciting us supercar lovers, is to unveil its latest new model today (29th May, 2019). Yesterday, however, the good people at Maranello did their usual trick of whetting our appetite with a neat little teaser video.
What does it show? Well, cleverly disguised it was so not much is given away, but what we can say is that it appears to be a proper Ferrari, with a nose inspired – it would seem – by the recent F8 Tribuno, and we got a quick look at the rear end and lights. The video was screened on the company’s official Facebook page.
Hybrid Power?
The model in the video wore notably black wheels – along with the requisite red brake calipers that are all the rage these days – and was seen only in brief. The main talking point is the power plant.
At the time of writing nothing has been announced as to which Ferrari engine will power this new model, but rumours are rife that this could be the advent of the much talked-about new Ferrari hybrid supercar – and we certainly hope it is!
The story goes that the engine may be a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8, but with its power supplemented by three electric motors taking power over the 1000bhp mark. This really would be something sensational.
That’s just about all we can say so far, except there are some stories saying this will be a Ferrari costing not far short of half a million pounds or around $600,000. If you keep an eye on Ferrari’s Facebook page you might get to see the new Ferrari Supercar, and we will be bringing you details here at Supercartribe.
